Our capabilities
From the physical signal
to the mission application.
Specialist engineering at the intersection of spectrum, embedded systems and software. This is the capability profile of a fictional demonstration company.
RF sensing & characterization
Understand the emissions.
Characterize the source.
Our RF engineering practice combines software-defined receivers, antenna interfaces and signal-processing software to detect and characterize radio-frequency emissions. The focus is passive observation: distinguishing emitters, finding interference and making spectrum activity understandable.
- Software-defined radio receiver integration
- Signal detection in congested spectrum
- Emitter fingerprinting and modulation characterization
- Direction finding and time-synchronized collection
- Distributed sensor management and edge processing
Potential applications include spectrum awareness, communications interference monitoring and detection of emitting drone control or telemetry links. RF sensing alone does not detect every drone or establish the identity or intent of an emitter.
Hardware & firmware analysis
Understand the behavior
behind the black box.
We analyze commercially available and customer-authorized electronic systems to understand how hardware, firmware and communications protocols behave. Laboratory characterization connects what a device contains with what it actually does.
- Embedded firmware and hardware-interface analysis
- Communications protocol characterization
- Controlled vulnerability evaluation
- Hardware-in-the-loop simulation
- Reproducible test fixtures and technical documentation
The practice is limited to authorized systems and controlled testing. It does not imply access to proprietary designs, restricted government information or any particular vendor’s equipment.
Mission applications & integration
Put the intelligence
where it can be used.
We develop analyst workbenches, geospatial applications and sensor-management tools. Our software brings streaming observations together through documented APIs and open interfaces, so users can search, correlate and explore information across systems.
- Streaming sensor-data ingestion and normalization
- Geospatial visualization and event correlation
- Analyst search and investigation workflows
- Legacy application integration through documented interfaces
- Access controls, audit records and deployment tooling
Potential applications include RF analysis workbenches, multi-sensor intelligence workflows and a common interface for connected mission applications. Compatibility with any specific government system would require its interface requirements.
Applied research
Useful intelligence.
Closer to the sensor.
Our research interests include machine learning for RF classification, recognition of previously unseen signal types, and inference on hardware with limited power and connectivity. We are also exploring language-driven interfaces for coordinating existing software tools.
- RF classification and out-of-distribution detection
- Low-power edge inference and model optimization
- Human-guided labeling and model evaluation
- Disconnected and intermittent-connectivity workflows
- Permission-aware orchestration of existing application tools
These are illustrative research directions, not claims of tested accuracy, operational maturity or certification. No performance benchmarks are asserted.
